I have prepared an article titled 'Health Impairment and Conduct: A Review of Key Cases.'
The article provides a brief overview of the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law as it applies to impairments for health practitioners and reviews a number of cases that deal with how the Tribunals and Courts have dealt with medical practitioners who are impaired and the factors that have been considered when determining what an appropriate sanction ought to be in those circumstances.
